Betty Davidson

Betty Davidson, 92, died Friday, September 17, 2021 of natural causes. She was born in Des Moines and graduated from Redfield High School. Betty was married to Clarence “Pete” Davidson, the love of her life for 55 years. They raised their children on a farm west of Adel and moved to West Des Moines to help care for their grandchildren. Betty had a caring and Christ like serving spirit. She showed that every day to her family and anyone who needed a friend. She had the gift of encouragement and saw only the best in everyone. She is survived by her son David (Diane) and their children Philip (Marina), Michael (Beth), and Elizabeth (Stephen) Miller, and great-grandchildren Liam, Natalie, Alistair, Charles Miller and Michael Davis Miller, daughter Suzanne Skutley (David) and their children Andrew and Steven; and Brothers Harold and Jerry Sloan. She was preceded in death by her daughter Debra; husband Clarence “Pete” Davidson; and brothers Paul and Donald Sloan. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory, 8201 Hickman Rd., Urbandale, IA 50322. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Assembly of God, 4425 70th St., Urbandale, IA 50322. A burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, 4400 Merle Hay Road., Des Moines, IA 50310. If you plan to attend the visitation and service, the family requests that you wear a mask.
