Visitation with Family: 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10th at Ochiltree Funeral Service with a prayer service beginning at 5:30 p.m. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11th at the Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family to be used at their discretion. Betty was born in Carroll, Iowa on November 30, 1933, the daughter of Harold and Avo “Dobby” (Doubenmeier) Townsend. She graduated from Sac City High School in 1952. She married Larry Wilson in Elk Point, South Dakota on June 24, 1977. Betty began her working career as owner/operator of E.E. Lewis Women’s Store in Sac City. In 1978, she moved to Kimberling City, Missouri and later Richmond, Missouri in 1985 where she worked for the Richmond High School as lunchroom cashier. Betty has resided in Winterset since 2001. She was a member of the Sac City Chamber of Commerce, a former member of the Eastern Star, and of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). Betty was also a member of the Sac City Presbyterian Church and the Winterset Presbyterian Church. Betty died April 7, 2011 at her home in Winterset. She was 77. Betty is survived by her husband, Larry of Winterset; her children, Tracy Drey (Daniel) of Schaller, Robert McKee (Maricris) of Bolivar, Missouri, Laticia McKee (Mike Neal) of Winterset, Susan Dingman (Steve) of Lisle, Illinois, and Steven Wilson (Linda) of Carlisle; a sister Ann Davidson (Ted) of Des Moines; 17 grandchildren, Kirby, Kristen, Kyle, Kassandra, Kennedy, Caleb, Kyler, Kassandra, Brittany, Chelsey, Zachary, Dennis, Layla, Kris, Randy, Angie, and Joe; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Townsend.
