Betty Mae Bennett, daughter of Clifford Morfoot and Gladys Carr Morfoot, was born November 25, 1929 in Perry, Iowa and died November 14, 2005 in Johnston, Iowa at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 14 days. Betty grew up on a farm north of Perry. On August 10, 1946, Betty was united in marriage to Chalmer Claude Bennett. They were the parents of three daughters: Billie, Jackie and Roxanne. The family made their home on a farm north of Perry. They farmed that farm for nearly 50 years. Betty enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her daughters. She also worked part-time for Gottschalk's, Montgomery Ward and Smithson's Grocery. She loved gardening, crossword puzzles and cooking. Betty attended the Fairview Methodist Church. Betty is survived by her daughters: Billie Mae Kestel of Perry, Jackie Neuhalfen and her husband Roger also of Perry, and Roxanne Gunderson and her husband Steve of Woodward; 7 grandchildren: Koleen Kanealy and her husband Ramon of Perry, Kevin Kestel and his wife Julie of Norwalk, Ron Neuhalfen and his wife Loni, Rod Neuhalfen, Marcie Mosher and her husband Ken, April Gunderson and Steven Gunderson all of Perry; 8 great-grandchildren: Nicole, Megan and, Kyle Neuhalfen, Philip Kanealy, Jill Wile, Jacob and Devin Kestel and Macie Mosher; and brother Tom Morfoot of Georgia; and relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chalmer, son-in-law Richard Kestel and her great-grandson Brandon Neuhalfen.
