Betty Morman

Betty Morman, age 72 of Woodward, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Peoples Cemetery at Woodward, IA. Memorials will be given to Puppy Jake Foundation and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Betty Ann Morman was born on December 31, 1949, at Des Moines, IA to Gene and Darlene (Meier) Volz. She graduated from the Perry High School with the class of 1968 and then went to Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA where she earned her registered nurse degree. She was united in marriage to Art Morman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Perry on February 13, 1971. She worked at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital and the Woodward Retirement Home. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Bouton, IA. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cats, dogs, horses, fishing, supporting veterans organizations, hanging out with family. In death she rejoins her husband Art Morman, Mother Darlene, sister Crystal Goodale, brother-in-law Roger Good, and an aunt Jeraldine Meier. Left to cherish Bettys memory are her father Gene Volz, Perry, IA, son Russell (Becky) Morman, Perry, IA, siblings, Marla Good, Bouton, IA, and Doug (Rhonda) Volz, Bouton, IA, nieces and nephews, Ellyse, Isaac (Melissa), and Alison (Phil), and great nephews, Hudson and Vic.
