Beverly D. Wesely, 85, of Perry, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by her husband of 65 years, and her children. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm with family present 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory in Perry. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 11:00 am.
Beverly was born in Faribault , MN on September 14, 1938. She grew up in Faribault, Warsaw, Waterville, and Mankato, MN. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1956. She then moved to Owatonna, MN where she met Larry Wesley. They married on August 2, 1958 in Owatonna, MN. They welcomed 3 children Kathy, Karen, and Kurt. Bev and Larry enjoyed their 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Bev was a generous person who always had time for anyone seeking assistance. She was very active in the Perry community, including many hours of volunteer work at St. Patrick's school and church. She was very involved in the 4-H program, acting as 4-H leader, judge for several County Fairs, and teaching sewing to children and adults. She welcomed newcomers to Perry through Welcome Wagon.
Bev owned her own business named The Sew Room for 40 + years. She was a skilled seamstress, designing and creating garments. Part of her business included alterations, where she continued until shortly before her death.
Survivors include Husband; Lawrence Andrew Wesely of Perry, IA, Daughter; Karen (Jeff) Stewart of Perry, IA, Son; Kurt (Trish) Wesely of Geneva, IL, Sisters; Mildred (Don) Wymore, Arlene Wehr, Joanne (Maynard) Madson, Veta Moravec, Elise Elzen, & Betty Bradley. Sister-In-Laws; Romana Wesely, Barb Wesely, & Mary (Dave) Kruger. Granddaughter; Mandy (Steve Lage) Stewart of Roland, IA, Granddaughter; Tara Wesely of Nashville, TN, Granddaughter; Mindy (Kyle) Baxter of Perry, IA, Grandson; Logan Wesely, Geneva, IL, Grandson; Tyler Wesely, Geneva, IL. And Great-Grandchildren; Reese, Cash, & Charlie Baxter. And several Nieces and Nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her Parents; George and Elsie Drinken, Brother; George Drinken, Sisters; Ione Kohler, & Nelda Luft. Daughter; Kathy Wesely, Brother-in-laws; Richard Wesely, Tom Schoonert, Jerry Wesely, Ken Keller, Donald Wesely, Merle Wehr, Richard Moravec, Daniel Elzen, Lyle Kohler, & Gene Bradley. Sister-in-laws; Marge Wesely, Jane Wesely, Dorothy Schoonert, & Genevieve Keller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or St. Croix Hospice.
