Visitation: 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, with family present to receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare. Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 22, at the McDonald-Chase Cemetery, Madison County. Memorial Contributions: May be directed to Middle River Hospice of Winterset or a memorial to be used at the discretion of the family. Beverly was born July 14, 1938 in Spring Hill, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Alta (Bridges) Rinard. She attended Winterset High School and married James McDonald on August 4, 1954 at the First Baptist Church Parsonage in Winterset. Bev was a waitress for many years, starting at the Club Café and Gold Buffet. She also worked a time at Fareway. Bev later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation until her retirement in 2000. She loved helping and taking care of people, which she was still doing. Bev also enjoyed bowling and slots at the casino. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bev died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Mercy Hospice, Johnston. She was 72. She is survived by her husband, James of Winterset; two sons, Mark D. McDonald (Cindy) of Adel and Marty McDonald (Diane K.) of Winterset; one daughter, Marcia Munger (Steve) of Clive; one brother, Duane Rinard (Mae) of Winterset; eight grandchildren, Wesley, Adam & Geoffrey Little, Chris, Andrew, Heather & Joel McDonald, and Jeremy Flannery; five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Zola Haigh, Barb Corkrean, Viola McDonald, Dixie McDonald, Barb McDonald, and Doris Rinard; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Colleen Morrow; and three brothers, Cecil Moore, Jay & Dick Rinard.
