Beverly R. Farrow - Adel

Bev Farrow passed away Wednesday evening, November 28, 2012, at Regency Care Center in Norwalk, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4th at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, Iowa. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Monday December 3rd , at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where family will greet friends from 3-6 p.m. Beverly (Reed) Farrow was born in Adel, Iowa to Clyde and Florence Reed on February 18, 1926. After graduating from Adel High School in 1944, she worked at the Dallas County Courthouse before marrying Bob on May 28, 1946. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidering as well as playing the piano and accordion. Many of her friends gathered together for card playing parties. Most of all, she loved children - lots of them! After raising her own 7 children, she continued with babysitting and enjoying her 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She lived a long life thanks to all her family and friends, who shared her sense of humor and free-spirited love of life. She is survived by her husband Bob of 66 and a half years, Al (Linda) of AZ, Andy (Leslie) of CA, Greg of MN, Perry and Tony of De Soto, Diane (Lyle) Johnson of TN, and Bradley of Norwalk; her sister Alma Prouty of Van Meter, brother David Reed of Waukee, and several other relatives.
