Blondell Dudley

Blondell Rene Lee Dudley was born September 12, 1959 to Rosalie E. and Timothy B. Lee Sr., in Des Moines, Iowa. She departed this life at the call of her savior Jesus Christ on July 21, 2024, at the age of sixty-four years, ten months and nine days. She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Blonde Lee Sr.; brother, Richard E. Thomas and sister, Rochelle R. Williams.

Blondell was educated in the Des Moines Independent Community School District, and graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1975 at sixteen years of age.

During her married years, "Blon" was blessed with two children she dearly loved; a son, Andrew Marvell Griffin, and a daughter, Steatra Schalleace Murphy.

An outgoing and personable individual, Blon enjoyed her life to the fullest. She was extremely active at an early age as a member of Christ Apostolic Temple, under the pastorate of Presiding Bishop Jeremiah Reed. She was baptized in Jesus's name in 1971 and received the Holy Ghost. Blon was active in the choir, Sunday School, Pastor's Aide, Bible Bowl and Young People auxiliaries.

In her leisure time, her hobbies included exercising, swimming, reading and singing.

A devoted daughter, mother and sibling, Blondell leaves to cherish her memories and kindness are her mother, Rosalie E. Davis (Des Moines, Iowa); son, Andrew Marvell Griffin (Des Moines, Iowa); daughter, Steatra Schalleace Murphy (Colorado Springs, Colorado); four brothers, Lawerence E. Williams (Blue Springs, Missouri), Keir D. Hart (Mesa, Arizona) and Andrew R. Davis (San Tan Valley, Arizona), Tim Lee Jr (Des Moines, Iowa); sister, Seraphine Lee (Des Moines, Iowa); grandmother, Erma Boston (Des Moines, Iowa); five grandchildren; an aunt, Helen Clay (Des Moines, Iowa) and her church family and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale Iowa, 50322).
