Bobbie Dean 'Bob' Pruitt

Bobbie Dean Pruitt (known to those who loved him as Bob), 87, became our Guardian Angel on Wednesday, September 14th at his home in Redfield, IA surrounded by family. He was born on October 9th 1928 to Agnes (Russell) and Lloyd Pruitt in Jefferson City, MO. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with entombment at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. Friends may call after Noon Sunday, September 18 at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Surviving Bob is his wife of 67 years, Vera (Grabill) Pruitt, 6 Children: His son Fred (Pam) Pruitt of Adel, IA, his daughter Patty (Jerry) Stockman of Des Moines, IA, his son Don (Cora) Pruitt of West Des Moines, IA, his daughter Karen (Dwayne) Wilson of Adel, IA, his daughter Glenda Pruitt of Dexter, IA, his son Terry (Dawn) Pruitt of Dexter, IA and 17 Grandchildren, and 47 Great-grandchildren, all whom he was very proud of. He is also survived by a sister Tootle (Agnes) of Bethany, MO. Bob was proceeded in death by his Grandson Jason Dean Pruitt, his parents Agnes and Lloyd, 5 brothers and 1 sister. He retired from the United Brick and Tile of Adel, IA after 33 years. He enjoyed spending time with family whether camping, racing or hanging out at home and playing cards. The stories he shared were priceless, no matter how often we heard them. Loved by all who knew him, he is forever in our hearts.
