Bonnie M. Snyder - Adel

Bonnie M. (Ream) Snyder passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by her beloved animals and daughter at the age of 86. Celebration of Bonnie's life will be 11:00 AM December 19th, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Adel. Family will greet friends after the service. Bonnie was born August 5th, 1929 in Adel, IA the daughter of Harold Nicholas and Avis Opal Ream. She raised quarter horses, Pekinese, hogs and rescued any animal that needed her tender touch while farming south of Ogden, IA. She moved to Colorado in 1965 for a job with GM, went onto work as a police dispatcher for Lakewood, CO, for Johns Manville and continued to work her "fun" jobs in Central City and Black Hawk CO. In 2003 she moved to Stockton CA to live with the man of her dreams, Dale Emehiser. In 2013 due to health issues she came back to Iowa to live with her daughter. She is survived by her son Christopher A. (Debbie) Hastie; daughter Vicki L. Snyder; stepchildren, Diane Thompson (Mike), Donna Jean (Wayne) Becker, and Ken (Gail) Snyder; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; the love of her life, Dale Emehiser and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to "Animal Protection and Education" PO Box 65, Paton, IA 50217, for her love of Cats. Online condolences may be left at this site.
