Bonnie M. Thompson

Bonnie M. Thompson, daughter of Richard and Bertha Williams, was born May 10, 1919 in Summerville, Missouri and died February 14, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 91. Bonnie married Glenn W. Thompson on June 10, 1939. They were parents of three sons, Richard, Leonard, and Dennis. They made their home on the Thompson family farm near Minburn. After retirement from farming, the couple enjoyed traveling and camping. In later years, they moved to Mechanicsville to be near their son Leonard and his family. Bonnie was a member of the Minburn United Methodist Church. She had worked at the Woodward State Hospital School for five years. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2007, two brothers and one sister. Bonnie's memory will be treasured by her sons Richard and his wife Lydia of Ft. Collins, CO; Leonard and his wife Diane of Mechanicsville, IA; and Dennis Thompson and his wife Joanne Hughes of Talent, OR; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
