Throughout his childhood and teenage years, Brad enjoyed everything to do with cars, trains and tractors, and kept his parents on their toes by always finding ways to make his “toys” go faster. A passion he passed on to his daughter, Dawn. He married his first wife, Tammy Luke, in November of 1980, who blessed him with his daughter, Dawn, in August of 1981. Brad met the love of his life Marj, in August of 1986, who stole his heart when she asked him out on their first date. They were married September 16th, 1989, in Van Meter, Iowa, where they have made their home together for the past 32 years. He was a dedicated employee to EMC Insurance for 28 years as an assistant buyer, until his retirement in February of 2020. Brad enjoyed watching NASCAR, and his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Chase Elliott. He was also a regular attendee of the Good Guys car show. In his spare time, he liked to work on tractors (preferably red ones) with his father in-law, Mike. He was a loving uncle to his 4 nephews, Austin (Erika) Willms, Craig (Chelsea) Greer, Skyler (Kayla) Willms, and Payden (Jackie) Willms, and 2 nieces, Caitlyn (Dean) Shivvers and Cydney (Marcus) Murillo. Brad also enjoyed watching his great nieces and nephews grow and was known for giving the best “squeezy” hugs. Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Helen Anderson, and his father-in-law Mike Greer. He is survived by his wife Marj, and daughter Dawn (Bill) McCrory.
