Brandon Charles Robinson, 29, of Grimes Iowa, was laid to rest surrounded by his loved ones on August 28, 2022. He is survived by his parents, Dan Robinson and Kathy Robinson, his siblings Joel Robinson and Stephenie Holtry, and his dog, Sparton. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Evelyn Creese, Jimmy “Mike” and Phyllis Robinson, great grandparents, Lawrence and Edith Wolf, LeRoy and Nola Creese, James and Harriett Keener, and uncle’s Phillip (Coach) Creese Sr and Kelly Creese, and Robert Robinson.
Everyone that knew Brandon knows he could light up the room with his smile and sarcasm. Brandon’s final mission was the gift of life to others through organ and tissue donations. Brandon was born in Des Moines, Iowa on October 14, 1992 and graduated from South East Polk in 2011.
He joined the United States Marine Corps from 2011-2016. He was a Military Police Officer and completed training/missions in the SWAT unit division. That gave Brandon the opportunity to travel the world including Afghanistan, Germany, and Japan during his military deployments.
In 2016, Brandon attended Grand View University and he graduated with a major in Business Administration in 2020 which led him to Wells Fargo as a Home Mortgage Consultant. He was very passionate about his role and absolutely excelled at being a trusted advisor for everyone he touched.
Brandon was social, outgoing, liked the outdoors and loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He really liked to travel and he could always be seen with his dog, Sparton.
Brandon was a devoted soldier, son and brother and was loved by everyone.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory at 8201 Hickman Rd Urbandale, IA. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Lutheran Church of Hope in Grimes, IA. Brandon will be laid to rest at the Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes, IA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project for service members of the United States Marine Corps.
