Brian Logan Nelson

Brian Logan Nelson of Des Moines, the son of Larry and Janice Nelson, Woodward, was born July 28, 1966 and passed away March 27, 2018. Brian was a member of the Woodward United Methodist Church. He graduated from Woodward-Granger High School with the Class of 1985 with honors and attended Drake University and The University of Iowa. Brian was employed by CDS Global, Des Moines. He enjoyed and cherished the time spent with his nephews and niece. Logan, as he was known to his SCA friends, was an accomplished bowyer and made many of his bows and arrows. Brian had many interests and hobbies including cooking, growing flowers, and unusual fruits and vegetables. He also loved his Corgi dogs, woodworking, astronomy, and gaining many friends across the nation. Survivors include his parents, sisters Lora (Tim) Reever of Glidden and Elayna (Al) Caruthers of Granger, nephews William Reever and Leah Gilman, Wesley Reever, Matt Peterson and Sam Peterson and niece Whitney Reever. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodward Public Library or DMARC Food Pantry.
