Bulah Bell Bond was born in Madison County near Earlham, Iowa on April 20, 1932 to Stephen and Eva (Macumber) Bond. She attended school in Earlham, Greenfield and Winterset where she graduated in the class of 1950. Her marriage to Harold E. Dillinger took place on December 17, 1950 at the Peru United Methodist Church in Peru. Blue is survived by her husband, Harold Dillinger of Peru, two daughters, Kathryn Armstrong and her husband, Gary of Mediapolis; Dorothy Frease and her husband, Kim of Winterset; four grandchildren (Thomas, Brody and Crystal Armstrong and Travis Kirk) and two step grandsons (Jeremey and Chad Frease). She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Viola Oglesbee and an infant sister. Blue was a devoted wife and mother and spent much of her time tending to the needs of her family while assisting her husband, Harold with working and managing their family farm. She took an active part in the farm work, driving tractor and doing whatever was needed to get things done. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Peru Women's Garden Club, and was a 4-H leader. She loved to garden and enjoyed feeding and watching birds. She also enjoyed handiwork like crocheting and knitting. She loved to read and enjoyed wintering in Port Isabel, Texas which she and Harold did for 30 years. Most of all, Blue loved her family and time spent with them. Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, where family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., October 15, 2009 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare, Winterset. Service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2009 at Peru United Methodist Church, Peru. Memorial: Memorial contributions may be directed to the Peru United Methodist Church
