Carl 'Dean' Mcneley

June 6, 1930 — July 23, 2008

Carl Dean McNeley was born June 6, 1930 in Winterset, Iowa, the son of Roy Russell and Lottie (Hamblin) McNeley. He was the tenth child of fourteen. He is survived by his siblings; Mary Jungst of Winterset, Gladys Archer (Francis) of Logan, Billy McNeley (Shirley) of Lorimor, and Donald McNeley (Mary Lou) of Wichita, KS; and several nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and five sisters. Dean was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset. During his working career, Dean worked as a farmhand, worked for AAA Garbage Disposal, and also worked for Innovative Industries for many years. He enjoyed shopping, fishing and dining out and was the State Champion for handicapped bowling. He also loved spending time with family. Dean died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Winterset Care Center North. He was 78. Visitation: Family will be present to receive friends prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare. Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorial: Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
