Carlajean Young, 60, of Waukee, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines. Carlajean was born on August 19, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Anna (Slater) Clark. She was a 1979 graduate of Winterset High School. She was married to Bruce Young on January 21, 1978 in Winterset. She had been a resident of Winterset for most of her life until moving to Waukee in 2019. She was an IT Security Specialist for Principal Financial Group and enjoyed reading in her free time. Carlajean is survived by her husband, Bruce Young; grandson, Taylor Young; great grandsons, Marshall Young and Maverick Young; and several siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna (Slater) Clark; and son, Jared Young.
