Charles Clark

Charles Clark, 91, of Saint Charles, passed away on February 15, 2022 at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines. Charles was born on May 26, 1930 to LeRoy Albert and Opal Pauline (Sumpter) Clark in Winterset, Iowa. Growing up he attended Van Meter Schools. Over the years, he tended to his farm while also working for Merchants Transfer and Storage. Charles enjoyed working on his farm and caring for his horses and mules. He trained jumping mules and rode them across Madison County. He also liked to go and watch the local rodeo when it was in town. Charles is survived by his son, Ed Clark of Earlham; daughter, Robin (Mike) Riley of Newnan, GA; brother, Bob Clark; sister, Sherilyn Snelson; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
