Chuck Dean, 47, of Macksburg, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at his home. Chuck will be deeply missed by his wife, Rhonda of Macksburg, his five daughters, Tonya Payton and husband, Lenny of Ackworth, GA; Misty Miller; Amy Smith and husband, Dan; Jenifer Dean all of Des Moines; Jess Vandwater of Macksburg; his father, Richard Dean and his wife, Nell Ann of Ft. Meyers, FL; one sister, Mary K. Adams and husband Sam of Brooksville, FL; four brothers, Tony Dean and wife, Pam of Boynton Beach, FL; John Gaunt and wife, Debbie of Kansas City, KS; Jeff Gaunt of Galveston, TX; Jay Gaunt of Osage Beach, MO and nine grandchildren (Joey, Kara, Adam, Tristen, Summer, Gavin, Gabryela, Chase and Sidney). He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Dean and grandparents, Jack and Mary Dean and John and Marcella Mallo. Chuck was born July 6, 1961 in Scott City, KS; to Richard and Mary Jo (Mallo) Dean. He was a 1979 graduate of Valley High School and was united in marriage to Rhonda Magnani on July 4, 2000 in Osage Beach, MO. Since his marriage to Rhonda he has made his home in Macksburg. Currently Chuck was employed by the Farley’s and Sathers Candy Company in Creston. Chuck loved to play pool, fish, hunt and poker. He also enjoyed barbequing but especially loved his family and friends and spending time with them. He was a loyal friend who was well liked. Visitation: 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., where family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday February 2, 2009 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare, Winterset, Iowa Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 3, 2009 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare, Winterset, Iowa Memorial: Memorials may be made in Chuck’s name to the family.
