Charles Joseph Corkrean

Charles Joseph Corkrean, the son of Peter and Jolynn Corkrean, was stillborn at 4:50 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the Methodist West Hospital in Des Moines. A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, at Ochiltree Funeral Service, with a graveside service to follow in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Count the Kicks (countthekicks.org) in memory of Charles Joseph Corkrean. Although Charles did not survive his earthly birth, he will always be loved and remembered. Charles was nicknamed “Chewy” by his older brother Alex, while Allie was looking forward to being a great older sister. Charles is survived by his parents and his two older siblings, Alex and Allie Soderberg. Also surviving are his grandparents, Jerry and Nancy Robertson of Urbandale and Patrick and Nancy Corkrean of Winterset. Also mourning are twelve first cousins, as well as many aunts and uncles.
