Charlotte Huffman

Charlotte Huffman, 82 of De Soto, passed away Friday, May 4th peacefully in her sleep at her daughter, Jody’s home in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 8 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home – McCalley Chapel in Adel with burial at Oakland Cemetery near De Soto. Family will greet friends before the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Charlotte was born December 29, 1935 in Kellerton, IA to Oland and Bernice (Shanner) Kneedler. She graduated from Kellerton High School in 1955. She married John Lee Huffman on August 13, 1960 in Bethany, MO. and in this union they raised three children, John, Jody and Jolene. Charlotte loved crocheting, playing puzzle games, spending time with her family and cheating while playing cards with her children and grandchildren. Charlotte is survived by her children, John (Patti), Jody (Steve) Off and Jolene; grandchildren, Maddison, Merredith, Jessica, Justin and Ricky; and great grandchildren, Owen and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; her sisters, Rojean Dawson, Janice Ruckman and Joann Graham; and an infant brother. The family of Charlotte Huffman would like to say a special Thank You to the Unity Point at Home Nursing Staff, Unity Point Hospice, Lutheran TCU Staff, Dr. Susan Donahue, Methodist Hospital 4th floor, Powell 3rd floor, Iowa Clinic Cardiology and Pulmonary Department.
