Christine Ann Burlingame

Christine Ann Burlingame, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Friday, November 11, 2016, at home at the age of 64. Christine was born June 13, 1952 in Creston, Iowa to Harry and Patricia Schlapia. She graduated from St. Malachy Catholic School in Creston. Christine married Robert Burlingame on October 18, 1980 in Creston. After moving to Des Moines she worked for Firestone Tire and Wells Fargo. Christine is survived by her husband, Rob; twin daughters, Megan (Jared) Andrews and Jessica (Bryan) Moriarty; son, Kevin Burlingame; sisters, Marilynn (Jim) Baker, Dorothy Davenport and Susie (Steve) Biley; brothers, Pat Schlapia and John Schlapia; grandchildren, Jayden, Maverick, Jaxton and McKenna. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Mike Schlapia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be given to American Lung Association in Iowa.
