Christopher Sinn, 60, passed away on July 2, 2022. He was born on November 21, 1961 to Dean and Betty “Wallace” Sinn in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from high school from Van Meter in 1980, and later attended William Penn where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2003. He also served in the Navy for several years until he was injured during the Iraqi Freedom war in 2002 and retired from the Navy in 2004. He dedicated his career at John Deere and later retired after 20 years in 2022. Chris loved adventures and would take his children on many of them. Chris and his wife loved experiencing the world together. Their favorite places to visit was anywhere with palm trees or mountains. He loved four wheeling and boating where he found a love for water. He loved working with his hands, building and fixing many things such as his house, gazebo, and deck: which gave him the name “Mr. Fix it.” Chris had a strong faith with the lord, he also had a wonderful sense of humor. He was the best son a mother could have, loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart, and his wife more than life. They were the perfect couple with a blended family. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kathy; his children Lindsey (Nick) Fitch, Crystel (Matt) Corbin, Noelle Sinn, Holly (Jake) Murphy; Kathy’s children Tommy, Candi, and Chrystal Belz, Janine (Nate) Sego; parents Dean and Betty Sinn; mother-in-law Mary Belz; siblings Carrie (Joe) Borkowski, Becky (Steve) Kunkle; grandchildren Noah, Lily, Liberty, Nayman, and Nathan Fitch, Jack and Elizabeth Corbin, Ryan Belz, Brooklyn and Trace Brown, Miles and Penelope Von Ahsen, and Quinn and Reagan Sego. He is preceded in death by his nephew Benjamin Algreen and father-in-law Kenneth Belz. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, 735 S 14th St. in Adel. A service will follow at 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 9:30 AM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Chris believed family should always come first just as he’s always taken care of his loved ones. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to go toward college savings for all his grandchildren.
