Cindy M. Ogden

Cindy Marie Ogden, 71, of Adel Iowa, went to be home with the Lord on March 24th, 2025 at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Cindy was born on June 21, 1953, the daughter of Edward and Mary Lou (Risely) Laws, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised in the Des Moines area most of her life. Cindy spent her whole life studying the Word of the Lord and being a fierce believer in Christ.

Through tough times, she met the love of her life, Steve Ogden, and the two were married in Waterloo Iowa on April 22, 1978. Cindy and Steve spent many days together studying and worshiping the Lord , following His direction, which ultimately landed them in Adel for the last 8 years. Cindy, being a published author through Trilogy Christian Publishers/Trinity Broadcasting Network, spent almost two years focusing, writing, and praying about her book “The Apple of My Eye”. She and Steve shared many trials and tribulations over the years, but from the outside looking in, it was clear that they had a deep love for each other. This love fueled a passion for success and a drive for the Lord .

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Steve Ogden; son: Joshua Joseph Lancelottie-Laws; grandchildren: Christian, Taylor, Giovanni, and Sayde; brother: John (Janet) Laws; sister: Kathy (John) Slight; Spiritual Parents: Dale and Berta Goman; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Innichement will take place on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa at 9:30 am. Visitation and Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Berean Assembly of God Church in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, with the Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hope Ministries.
