Clarence Emerson 'Jim' - Winterset

Clarence "Jim" Emerson, 90, of Winterset, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Winterset Care Center North in Winterset, Iowa. Clarence or Jim, as his family called him, was born on November 2, 1923, at Madison County, Iowa to Loyal and Faye (Robinson) Emerson. He had been a lifetime resident of Madison County and had worked as a painter and handyman most of his life. Clarence is survived by his brother, Robert Emerson and his wife Francine of Des Moines; and sister, Wanda Trease of Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyal and Faye (Robinson) Emerson; brother, Harold Emerson; and sisters, Evelyn Sliker and Donna Duff. A family memorial graveside service was held on December 7, 2013, at the Peru Cemetery in Peru, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to his family.
