SERVICE WILL BE LIVE STREAMED AT: www.cr4u.org Clark Allen Dory, age 84 of Perry, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Kings Garden Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes in Perry IA. Clark was born on December 6, 1938, at Cumberland, IA to Clark Chalmer and Valera Mae (Edwards) Dory. He graduated from Cumberland, IA High School. He served his country in the United States Army from October 8, 1961 to October 9, 1963. Clark was united in marriage to Karen Jeannette Jacobs at Pleasant Grove Congregational Church near Fontanelle, IA on July 12, 1964. He delivered newspapers in Cumberland, worked for Iowa Electric Light & Power Company, retiring in April of 1997. After retirement he worked at Harland Ace Hardware. He was a member of the Crossroads Church and was a Volunteer fireman in both Cumberland and Perry. He enjoyed camping, going for drives, working in his yard, watching the birds and squirrels, watching basketball and football, especially the Los Angeles Rams and Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved going to his childrens and grandchildrens school activities and sporting events. In death he rejoins his parents, Clark and Valera Dory, sisters, Marilyn Bernhardt, Nancy Copher, and Margaret Hardy, and his stepmother, Anna Dory. Left to cherish Clarks memory are his wife Karen Dory, Perry, IA, children, David (Mary) Dory, Mitchellville, IA, and Sarah (Duane) Bucklew, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Ashley Bucklew, Bryce Bucklew, Garrhett Bucklew, Jared Dory, and Hope Bucklew, great grandchildren, Sophia, Ariana, Jaxen, and Danee, sisters, Beverly Lamansky, Rosemary Schrier, Shirley Ruge, and Sandy (Don) Schlotzhauer and a sister-in-law, Emera Maynard.
