Cleo Lynette Lindgren, daughter of Gilbert Dolder and Hazel Josephine Evans Dolder, was born March 13, 1917 in Callender, Iowa, and died November 19, 2011 at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in Perry, Iowa at the age of 94. Cleo was a high school graduate of Callender. She helped with housework for others for a time after her schooling. She married Paul Lindgren and they were parents of three sons, Richard, Dennis and Darrel. They spent most of their married life in rural Paton where they lived on the family farm. Later they moved to a smaller home on an acreage. Paul died in 1983 and in 2000 Cleo moved to an apartment in Adel and lived there until she moved to the Masonic Home in 2010. In earlier days Cleo owned and operated Lindy's Caf which was located near the old bowling alley north of downtown Jefferson. When young, she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Callender and later attended the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling as well as playing Bridge with her friends. Cleo enjoyed country western music, baking, sewing, needle point, and crocheting, however her greatest love was her family and seeing her grandchildren. For many years Cleo followed her husband's baseball pitching career where he also managed the semi-pro team in Rippey. Her sons' baseball careers followed and she enjoyed them equally as much. Dancing with Paul was a special joy and memory. Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother Lyle "Bud" Dolder, and grandson Tony Lindgren. Cleo will be lovingly missed by her sons, Richard (Betty) of Granger, IA; Dennis (Jackie) of Jefferson City, MO; Darrell (Suzanne) of Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren, Chris Lindgren (Brenda) of Adel, IA; Coe Erpelding (Lou) of Winterset, IA; Carrie Worley (Ron) of Granger, IA; Shari Burrell (Steve) of Paton; Jessica Lindgren and Deanna Lindgren, both of Jefferson City, MO; Josephine Eynard (Jamie) of Holt Summit MO; grand-daughter-in-law Carrie Dykstra of Iowa City, IA; Chana Franklin (Shawn) of Fredericksburg, VA, Joi Pelligrini (Tony) of Stafford, VA; Darrla Tilley (Mik) of Woodbridge, VA; Gerry White of Ft.
