Clyde Victor Goodman BORN January 21, 1926 Peru, Iowa DIED November 30, 2011 Perry, Iowa AGE 84 Years, 10 Months, 9 Days GRAVESIDE SERVICES 10:00 a.m. December 6, 2011 Violet Hill Cemetery Perry, Iowa Clyde Victor Goodman, son of Harry C. Goodman and Christine Valborg Goodman, was born January 21, 1926 in Peru, Iowa and died November 30, 2011 at the Perry Lutheran Home at the age of 84. Clyde grew up and went to school in Peru and moved to Perry in 1944. He later moved South Dakota and worked in the oil fields until 1965 when he moved back to Perry. Clyde moved to the Perry Lutheran Home in 2007. Clyde Married Dorothy Skoolund in Lemon, SD and they had five children together. Clyde worked for R. R and then in the Oil Fields. He later worked for his father-in-law doing farm work and before he retired, Clyde went into trucking. Clyde enjoyed playing cards and pool. He also enjoyed fishing and dancing. He was a collector of Rockhound and enjoyed looking for Arrowheads. Clyde enjoyed his membership at Mount Olivet Church in Perry. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son Joseph, and his brothers: Donald Goodman, twins, Wesley and Lesley Goodman and brother-in-laws Leonard Anderson and Donald Smokey Lee. Clyde is survived by his sisters: Florence Lee of Perry and Stella Anderson of Des Moines; a son, David Goodman (Donna) of Aberdeen, SD; daughters Ellen Collenger (Ed) of Middleton, OH and Beverly Lewis (Paul) of Portland, OR; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews
