August 24, 1924 — March 7, 2017

Corrine Mary (Barbieri) Cole, 92 of Des Moines passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM with a rosary service starting at 7:00 PM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Corrine was born on August 24, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa to Oreste & Maria (DeChico) Barbieri. She married Lawrence Eugene Cole in 1942. Together they had 3 children. Corrine was a devout Catholic. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Corrine was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed cooking Italian food, and working in her flower garden. She is survived by her children, Linda (Robert) Barlass, Stephen (Pamela) Cole, Mary Alice (Thomas) Daughenbaugh; grandchildren, Tamara, Laurie, Michelle, Amy, Carolyn, Melissa, Kim; 17 great-grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Nello, Eris, Mario, William, Edward, Alice, Toodie, and Gena. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
