Cory Lee Daugherty

Cory Daugherty, 39, was born July 24, 1984 and left us on November 4, 2023.

Cory was born in Adel, Iowa to Kelly Daugherty and Kristi (Morrison) Hamilton. Cory had a heart of gold and could always make you smile. He had a bear tight hug and cared deeply about his family.

Cory was many things to many people, but above all, he was a person who lived his life with intensity. Cory was a free spirit, a wanderer, someone who sought to squeeze every drop of adventure out of life. He lived on his own terms.

However, it's no secret that Cory faced an internal struggle, one that he battled courageously. Cory had a magnetic personality; he drew people to him with his charisma, his wit, and his infectious smile. We will all have different memories of Cory—memories that make us smile, that make us cry, that make us thankful for the time we had with him. Let's cherish those memories.

Cory is survived by his sons, Blayne (Angela Bowe-Shaw) and Nakota (Nadia Clark-Sharp); father, Kelly (Leilani); mother, Kristi (Skip); brother, Chad (Crystal) Daugherty; nephew, Dausen; niece, Kinsey and many other friends and loved ones.

A memorial gathering will be held in Cory’s honor from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, November 15th, 2023 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Adel Chapel, 735 S 14th St., Adel, IA.
