Craig Stuart Marcks

Craig Stuart Marcks was born on November 27, 1959 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Raymond Marcks and Donna Leah McQuerry Marcks and died July 6, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 48 years, 7 months, and 9 days. Craig graduated from Perry High School in 1978. He worked for Weise Corporation in Perry for awhile and then worked at Embassy Suites Hotel and the Marriot Hotel as a Concierge. Craig helped open the Hotel Pattee in Perry where he worked as a chef for 4 years. His most recent job was at the Lutheran Church of Hope where he was employed in Maintenance for 7 years. He was an accomplished artist and won best of show awards at various art festivals throughout the United States. Craig enjoyed animals and wildlife and made them his main subject for his art work. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his brother, Eric, in 2003. Craig is survived by his parents, Raymond and Donna of Perry; aunts, Mary Alice (Virgil "Junior") McFadden and Lois (Hugh) Ferguson; other relatives and friends.
