Cynthia Rae Sund

Cynthia R. Sund, age 89, of Johnston, and more recently of Spurgeon Manor, Dallas Center, IA, passed away January 22, 2023. Cynthia was born November 26, 1933 in Sioux Falls, SD to Theodore R. and Susan (Welde) Mundt. Cynthia is survived by her daughters, Christine (Dan) Keller, Dallas Center, IA, Stephanie (Jim) Cunningham, Olathe, KS; son, Daniel (Angie) Sund, Madison, MS; grandchildren, Julie (Matt) Ruzek, Rochester, MN, Betsy (Brook) Hansen, Johnston, IA, Joe (Karissa) Keller, Granger, IA, Megan Cunningham, Cary, NC, Nick Cunningham (Perla De Anda), San Dimas, CA, Brock (Olivia) Sund, Ledgewood NJ, Jake (Kelly) Sund, Hendersonville, NC; great-grandchildren, Olivia Ruzek, Will Ruzek, Ben Hansen, Ellie Hansen, Sam Keller, Isla Keller, Emmy Keller, Emiliana De Anda-Cunningham, Madeline Sund, Patrick Sund, Jonathan Sund. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Howard E. Sund, her parents and brother Theodore G. Mundt. Cynthia was a wonderful mother and, if possible, an even more wonderful Granny.  We are so grateful for the loving care she received at Spurgeon Manor and the friendships she enjoyed at St. James Lutheran Church.
