Daniel Crow

Daniel Frederick Crow, 66 years old, from Cumming, Iowa went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 31, 2019. A Visitation to celebrate Dan’s extraordinary life will be held from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, June 4 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, June 5 at Lutheran Church of Hope with a burial following at Highland Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family invites everyone for a reception in Dan’s honor at Glen Oaks Country Club following the burial. Dan was born on September 18, 1952 to Dale and Phyllis Crow in Palmyra, Iowa. He graduated from Martensdale St. Mary’s High School in 1971 and met the love of his life Stacey in 1974. They were married for almost 44 years and together had two sons; Sean and Ryan. In 1979 Dan and Stacey purchased Crows Superior Gas and moved to Granger, Iowa where they raised their two boys. After 25 years of successful business numerous customers were turned into friends. Dan retired and sold his propane plant in 2004 so he could live life to the fullest. Dan enjoyed traveling and frequently reminiscing on all the unforgettable moments he was blessed to experience. He loved camping and appreciated the little things in life, but above all he cherished time with his family. Dan was also a Mason at the Acanthus Lodge, a member of the ZA-GA-ZIG Shrine and was honored to be a part of the ROJ Court 42. He was truly one of a kind and his compassionate soul and old jokes will be dearly missed. His eyes lit up at the mention of his granddaughters and its comforting to know he’s watching over all of us. Dan is survived by his wife; Stacey, sons; Sean (Allison) and Ryan (Tiffani), brother; Tim McCulloh, sister; Brenda (Johnny) Cavallo, sister-in-law; Kimberly Carpenter, brothers-in-law; David (Linda) Carpenter, Fred (Liz) Carpenter and John (Tammy) Carpenter, granddaughters; Elise Crow and baby Crow arriving in June, along with several niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Dale and Phyllis and sister; Marcia. Memorial contributions can be directed to Every Step Hospice.
