Daniel Frederick Wolff

Daniel Frederick Wolff, 78, of St. Charles, IA, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2025 at his home.

Daniel was born in Sheboygan Falls Wisconsin, on October 30, 1946, the son of Earl Franz and Sylvia Helen (Twatchmann) Wolff. He grew up in Wisconsin and Iowa, graduating from Tama-Toledo High School in 1968. After graduating, he enlisted in the Untied States Marine Corp and served from 1968 to 1971. He was united in marriage to Lynn Marie Acuff on December 21, 1972 in Waterloo, IA. After his service, he began working as a diesel mechanic for what is known now as DART. He worked approximately 20 years before retiring. Daniel loved to fish, loved hunting for mushrooms and for wild game. He especially loved his time with his family including the family reunion every year in Waterloo. One of his favorite things to do was going to Embers restaurant and playing cards.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers: Earl Wolff, James Wolff, Warren Wolff, and Daryl Wolff; sisters: Connie Canakes and Sandra Wolff; step-sister: Missy Bartels; as well as longtime friend: Eddie Conner.

Surviving him is his loving wife: Lynn Wolff; children: Daniel Jr. (Emily) Wolff, Daymond (Colombia) Wolff, and Danielle (Scott) Skarin; grandchildren: Dale Alexander, Chanze William, Zachary Day, Chloee Ann, Alyssa Nicole, Anna Sophia, Levi Joseph, Giovanna Marie, Kennith Michael, Ven, and Malisa; brothers: Lonnie (Maxine) Wolff, Lance (Pam) Wolff, and John (Carla) Nicholas; sisters: Sylvia (Richard) Marquette, Elaine (Zeke) Malinski, Wendy (John) Wolf, Debbie (Gene) Coufal, Cheryl (Pete) Versluis, Tracy (Scott) Belle, and Darlene (Chip) Hansen; “Adopted Family”: Chad (Roxy) Wyman, Joe Jacobs, and Paul Latare.
