Danny Perry

Danny “Dan” Perry, 66, passed away on February 9, 2023. He was born on September 11, 1956 to Clarence and Coleen Perry in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Drake University. He was a long time employee of Moehl Millwork, Inc. He retired from Beisser Lumber Company in October 2021.

Dan was a wonderful and devoted father and husband. His greatest accomplishment in life was his 3 children. Besides being an avid New York Yankees and Iowa State Fan, his favorite was rooting for any team his grandchildren were on. He enjoyed watching horse races and going on vacation, especially to the beach. He also enjoyed serving as a Ragbrai support crew for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy; children, Laura (Landon) Peters, Grant (Tiffany) Perry and Amy Perry; grandchildren Brayden, Aubrey, Ethan, Isaac, Taylon, Greysen, Rylend, Charlee; brother Don Perry; sister in law Deb Perry; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12th from 3:00-5:00 pm at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 13th at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
