Born on January 4, 1969, in Peru, Illinois, Darron faced life with resilience, humor, and an unwavering appreciation for the simple joys. His bravery throughout his battle with cancer inspired those around him, while his humor reminded everyone to appreciate life’s joys without taking it too seriously.
A firm believer in the goodness of people and the importance of respect, Darron built meaningful connections in both his personal life and his career. As a valued member of the Service Excellence team at American Equity, his ability to empathize and connect with others was unmatched.
Above all, Darron took great pride in raising his daughter, Addison Smith. He was a devoted son to Sarah Parker, a loving brother to Kristen Smith and Kimberly (Smith) Menzel, and a cherished friend to many.
