Daryl Adams

A service for Daryl Adams was held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson, Iowa. Words of comfort were provided by Father William Brunner of Jefferson. The honorary casket bearers were Steven Adams, Jeff Whitcomb, Stephanie Newstrom, Debi VerBunker, and Stacy Drill. Music was provided by pianist Danille Curtis and soloist Gary Haupert. The music was an "Alan Jackson Tune" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain". Interment will be held at a later date in Wisconsin, where Daryl will be with his family. A time of lunch and fellowship was held at Hastings Funeral Home following the service. Daryl Dean Adams, son of Dean and Alice Peterson Adams, was born December 14, 1945 in Kenosha, Wisconsin and died November 8, 2011 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. Daryl grew up in Clay County and Menomonie, WI, later moving to Grand Junction. Daryl attended trade school for Aviation and later was involved in the aviation industry as well as livestock handling. He enjoyed anything outdoors. Daryl was a member of the Catholic Church and the Tyson Labor Union. Daryl was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter Ana Whitcomb. Daryl is survived by wife Ann Adams of Grand Junction, IA; parents Dean and Alice Adams, daughters: Stephanie Newstrom (Dan) of Lino Lakes, WI; Debi VerBunker (Todd); Paula Hyde of Wasburn, WI; and Stacy Drill (Andy) all of New Richmond, WI; and sons Steven Adams of Las Vegas, NE; Dave Adams of Washburn, WI and Jeff Whitcomb (Anna) of Ames, IA; grandchildren Alisha, Zach, Amanda, Jenny and Heather Newstrom; Brooke, Tarra, and Alec VerBunker; Paige, Eli, Matteus, Jonas, and Natalia Drill and Braden Brown; other relatives and many friends Hastings Funeral Home www.hastingsfh.com hastingsfuneral@netins.net 403 North Elm, Box 253, 1 515 386 8181 Jefferson, Iowa 50129
