David Dwight Mueller

David D. Mueller, formerly of Des Moines, passed away in his home in Corning, IA on February 20, 2014 after losing his battle with leukemia and MDS. David was born Jan. 20, 1940 and was adopted by Vic and Inez (Pope) Mueller at the age of 5. He spent his younger years in Walnut, IA, then moved to Sioux Falls, SD after high school. A few years later, he moved to the Des Moines area and worked as a salesman for Rainsoft. Later he started his own business "Mueller Equipment Company." He also wrote and published his autobiography. He is survived by his six children, two sons, Brian Larson of Rapid City, SD, and Lance Wilson of Chesapeake Beach, MD; and four daughters, Jodi Mueller Terry of Grimes, IA, Traci Mueller Felt (Dennis) of Dallas Center, Erin Mueller of Des Moines and Kelly Mueller of Beaverdale; and seven grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Ronald Granzow and Kenneth Mueller, both of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Francis Robinson and Sandy Ramsey, both of Des Moines, and one brother, Paul Mueller of the Walnut area.
