David Louis May Welton

David Lewis (Welton) May, 60, was born on May 8, 1954 in Des Moines, IA. He attended Des Moines public schools, and had a brief stint in the United States Marine Corp. David liked to travel. David had only lived in the state of Washington for the past six or seven months, where he died of hypothermia on January 18, 2015. David is preceded in death by his mother, Berniece Welton, and his father, Lewis May, Jr. He is survived by his two sisters Lois Ann Brookhart, and Marietta Jackson, and one brother Terrence G. Welton; six nephews, Pete Jackson, Jerry Welton, T. Gordon Welton, T.J. Welton, Colby Richardson, and Yurii Brookhart, and three nieces Adriana Welton, Katya Nicholson, and Kimkia Jackson, and twenty great nieces and nephews. Memorial Gifts can be directed to: The Basilica of St. John Foundation. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting financial assistance of the services. Memorial Services will be held at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday February 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
