Dawn A. Hull

Dawn was born December 21, 1933 in Greenfield, Iowa, the daughter of Dale and Mildred (Burns) Wambold. She attended grade school at Zion School and later graduated from Winterset High School. Her marriage to Vern Hull took place on July 27, 1963 in Knoxville, Iowa. She is survived by her children, Mike Waltz (Shelia) of Winterset, Bingta McCall (Kelly) of Winterset, Coy Waltz (Lola) of Winterset, Kevin Waltz (Tammy) of Adel, David Waltz (Debbie) of Winterset, Cae Farrow of New Virginia, Bill Hull (Charlye) of Lorimor; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her mother, Mildred Boyd of Winterset; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Vern; one grandson, Thad Waltz; and a brother, Keith Wambold. Dawn worked at Bankers Life, State of Iowa and later retired from Furnas Electric. She loved to read, collect thimbles and Christmas ceramics and capture all kinds of moments with her camera. Above all, Dawn cherished her family and was always involved in family gatherings and all of her grandchildren’s activities. Dawn died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 73.
