Dennis Shoafstall

Dennis Shoafstall, 68, of West Des Moines, died Friday, May 21, 2021, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. No services are planned at this time, but his family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, May 26, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home Winterset Chapel. Memorials may be directed to his family for a future designation. Dennis was born on August 26, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa to Wayne and Sevinna (Plasencia) Shoafstall. He was raised and had been a resident of Valley Junction for many years. He had worked as a supervisor for the City of Adel Parks and Recreation Department for several years. He was married to Rhonda (Hope) Miner on July 19, 2007 in Des Moines, Iowa. Dennis had been an avid weight lifter and loved his “pups”, Daisy, Rascal and Squeaky. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Shoafstall; mother, Sevinna Fucaloro and step father, Joseph Fucaloro; son, Jason Shoafstall; brother, Joey Fucaloro; sisters, Betty Ketelsen and Jackie Humburd; grandson, Dallon Morris; and father-in-law, James Moore. Surviving him is his wife, Rhonda; children, Brandi (Tyson Donham) Morris, Brandon (Nikki Thompson) Richards, Crystal (Darin) Drake, and Kim Grandstaff; sister, Sandy Saboe; grandchildren, Dayton, Denim, Bailee, Mariah, Skylar, Brock, Ayla, Joshua, Madison, Austin, and Evelyn; great grandchildren, Arian, Oliver, Jack, Ryder, and Jasper; mother-in-law, Myrna Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
