He was willing to try anything including Tae Kwon Do, soccer, football, baseball, wrestling, track, boxing, and MMA. After graduating high school, Devon began his career as a plumber for eight years working at Cook Plumbing. Devon is remembered as having a large, kind heart of gold. He was beautiful inside and out and loved to dress sharp, smell good and have great hair. Devon had fun hanging out with his friends - bowling, playing cards, poker, and pool. Many friends described him as funny with a contagious smile and an adorable laugh. Devon was always singing and playing the guitar and was a member of the band “The Neighbors”. He had a very eclectic taste in music, movies, and sports. His passion was displayed through his tattoos - peace sign, music note, fishing, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Bruins and Hawkeyes (missing yet were the 49ers and Marvel). He also had about as many t-shirts and baseball caps as his sister has shoes. Devon appreciated the outdoors hunting and fishing – from catfishing at the Raccoon River to reeling in a sailfish in the Gulf of Mexico. During the end of his journey, he traveled to many states. As well, visited many other countries including Canada, Brazil, Germany, and several trips to Mexico.
