Dexter Lee Struble, 76, died peacefully at his home on August 22, 2015. Lee is survived by his wife, Kay Struble, of Adel; his children, Jodi (Scott) Selby of Adel;Dennis Steelman, of Adel;Deb (Bill) Tomlinson of Waukee; Dana Steelman-Chase, of Rochester, MN;Lynnette Doi, of Lakewood, CO;nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Cleo Struble, and sisters, Maxine Jobst and Ramona Chapman. Lee was born on November 2, 1938 in Adel, Iowa to Bryan and Ameila Struble. Hegraduated from Adel in 1957 and began working for Brenton State Bank. After 15 years in banking, he entered a 32 year career in law enforcement, serving the citizens of Dallas County. Lee was a person who deeply loved his family and friends. Adedicated member of the First Christian Church, he touched many lives with his gentle nature and kind spirit. Funeral services will be 11:00a.m.Wednesday, August 26, 2015 atthe First Christian Church inAdel, with Pastor Doug Pfeiffer officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. Friends may call after noon on Tuesday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, where family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributionsmay be directedtothe AdelFirst Christian Churchor ADM Scholarship Fund.
