Diana J. Springer

Diana Jeanne Springer was born June 9, 1938 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa, to LaVerne Spearing and Alma Marie Crispin Spearing and died February 2, 2009 at the Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Jefferson, Iowa at the age of 70 years, 5 months, and 23 days. She was married in Princeton, MO, to Roy Junior Springer of Perry, Iowa, on August 20, 1964. Diana resided in Perry for many years. During that time she earned her Certified Nurses Aid certificate. She was also the conservation officer at Sportsman's Park in Dawson for 2 years. She was a Den and Girl Scout leader for her children, volunteered throughout the community, and was a member of the Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Springer in 2001, her parents, one son, David Springer in 1979 and two sisters, Marjorie Courtney and June Bailey. Diana is survived by her children, Rhonda (Mrs. Ray) Gibson of Jefferson, Iowa; Rita Santee of Burlington, Iowa; Rowen Springer of Richland, Iowa; Robert Springer of Muscatine, Iowa, and Jennifer (Mrs. Chad) Pfohl of Owensville, Indiana. She is also survived by her step-children, Keith Springer of Des Moines, Iowa; Roy David Springer of Boone, Iowa; Jim Springer and Mike Springer of San Diego, CA. Her grandchildren, Mitch Gibson, Matt Gibson, Hillory Springer, Sabrina McKee, Kelly Springer, and Jacob Springer, two great granddaughters, Kirsten and Bryn Pfohl; one sister Phyllis (Mrs. Carroll) York of Adel, Iowa and one brother Keith Spearing of Home, PA; other relatives and many friends.
