Dixie Vidmar

On April 16, 2016 we lost our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend into the hands of Jesus Christ our Savior. Dixie Marilyn Vidmar, 76, of Urbandale, Iowa was born June 10, 1939 to Earl and Evelyn Exline in Exline, Iowa. In 1958 Dixie graduated from beauty school and made many look spectacular with her talent. She married her high school sweetheart Leonard on November 12, 1960. Dixie had a gracious heart and loved to help people. She spent many hours donating her time for church activities. Her affection for music and dancing with her love made many wonderful memories. She adored her grandchildren and attending their activities. Her love and spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be from 5 to 7p.m., Tuesday, April 19 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on April 20 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery. Dixie is survived by her husband, Leonard; daughters, Lisa (Jim) Williams and Kim (Paul) Walker; daughter-in-law, Lynn Vidmar, grandchildren, Cody, Bailey, Logan, Taylor, Brooke, Landon and Cole and her great granddaughter, Chloe. She was preceded in death by her son Christopher. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Pius X Catholic School or the Alzheimers Association.
