Dollie Ann Letts, loving mother and grandmother of West Des Moines, passed away on March 5, 2022, at Bickford in West Des Moines at the age of 84. A memorial service will be held 2:00p.m. March 18, 2022, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory, with a visitation held one hour prior to the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Dollie Letts was born July 8, 1937, as a triplet with her sisters, Donna and Darlene in Forest City, IA, to her parents Carl and Cora (Johnson) Lovik. She was one of six children in the family. Dollie was a graduate of Forest City High School. On a beautiful summer day, Dollie was united in marriage to Earl Letts on July 14, 1963. To this union, two children were born, James and Ronald. Dollie took great care of the family, while Earl served his country, where he retired from the United States Army. Dollie was a secretary for the Iowa State Patrol for many years. She was an avid reader, who loved a good story. She was also very talented and loved to quilt, cross stich, sew and most importantly, loved her family and friends. Her memory will continue in the hearts and minds of her husband, Earl of 59 years; sons, Jim and Ron; granddaughter, Shailey; sisters, Donna and Darlene; and many extended family members She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gilman and Harold; and her sister, Evelyn. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be left at www.caldwellparrish.com.
