Don Ziemann

Don was born December 25, 1922 in Madison County near Van Meter; to Otto and Eveline (Wishmier) Ziemann. He graduated from Van Meter High School and was united in marriage to Norma Fogler on June 15, 1945 in Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma on July 23, 2002; a daughter, Donella and a sister, Pauline Klindt. Don was a farmer all of his life. He enjoyed nature and especially loved to hunt and fish. Don is survived by a daughter, Marty Albert and husband, Mick of Norwalk; two sons, Dennis and wife, Julia of Van Meter; Mark and wife, Deb of LaGrange, KY seven grandchildren (Tony and Liz Albert; Nick and Jake Ziemann and Ashley, Kelsi and David Ziemann). Visitation: 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, where family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. February 20, 2009 at Ochiltree Funeral Service, Winterset. Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Ochiltree Funeral Service, Winterset.
