Donald Dunn

Donald Dwayne Dunn, son of George Samuel Dunn and Harriet Esther McManis was born January 11, 1951 in Perry, Iowa and died October 8, 2004 at his home in Perry at the age of 53 years, 8 months and 27 days. Donald was proud of serving his country in the US Army where he served as a Military Police Officer. After retiring from the Army, Donald went to work for the United States Postal Service, where he was employed for 21 years as the District Window Clerk at the Perry Post Office. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, George and Harriet, and his son Toby Kirk in 1996. Survivors include his wife Connie; daughter Jody Wells; sons: Nick Kirk and his wife Billi, Rocy Kirk and his wife Danielle, Davy Kirk and his fiance Tammy, and Dusty Dunn and his fiance Gayle; and fourteen grandchildren: Samantha, Schuyler, Sealeana, Spencer, Slater, Christopher, Cary, Brice, Andrea, Devin, Morgan, Shelby, James and Sadie. A private graveside service will be held Tuesday morning at Violet Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m., and Monday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry.
