Donald E. Jennings - De Soto

Donald Eugene Jennings, 81, of De Soto, Iowa passed away, February 23 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in De Soto. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m. Don was born on, August 20, 1933 in Madison, Missouri to Valaska B. and Pauline Jennings. His passions were his family, fishing, gardening, golfing and playing cards. Don worked many years at Firestone as a supervisor. He served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Japan for several years. Don is survived by his wife Dixie; Daughters, Tawnia (Dennis) Olson and Donette (Tad) Stanley; Step-children, Connie (Dick) Thompson, Denise (Dan) Forret and Terrell (Vernone) Meldrem and Vicky (Mark) Benshoff; Grandchildren, Samantha (Bob) Olson, Danielle (Adam) Howard, Dustin Stanley, Nathan (Tory) Stanley, Trevor (Katie) Stanley, Carrie Thompson, Sheiry (Jason) Slycord, Courtney Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Landon Thompson, Wendy Thompson, Robyn (Jeff) Lund , Nancy Thompson, Greg Forret, Adam Forret , Angie Forret, Joe (Bre) Forret, Josh (Ali) Gilman, Mark (Corrie) McDowell and Jason (Elissa) McDowell , 40 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
