Donald E Langford

Donnie Langford of Grimes, IA, died in his sleep August 11. Donnie was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Hoover High School. He worked at the Goodyear Tire Retread plant for more than 32 years before he retired. Donnie enjoyed many hobbies, but most especially fishing. He enjoyed teaching and taking all his grandchildren fishing to a local fishing pond. He was a lover of Brittany Spaniel dogs and trained several dogs to accompany him on his pheasant hunting trips. All his grandkids will remember joy riding in his classic Chevy truck, or bouncing around in his buggy. He was preceded in death by his mother Carole Connors; he is survived by his father, Bill (Bea) Langford (Rowland Heights, California), his brothers Billy, Randy and Benny; his wife Vicki (Job); his children Shannon (Jai) Holtz (Lakeville, MN) Andrea Langford (Des Moines), Libby (Mike) Endorf (Omaha, NE); Kyle (Erica) Kurowski (Williamsburg, VA), and Lindsey (Mike) Ubaldo (St. Joseph, MO) and Aaron (Bridget) Kurowski (West Des Moines, IA); four granddaughters and eight grandsons. “You were here, now you’re gone, and we all keep movin’ on Like the wind and the sea, that’s the way it has to be …” Bob Seger I You Knew When Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, there is no service scheduled at this time.
